Is Soq a medical device?
No. Soq is a consumer wellness product, like the health-tracking wearables many parents already wear themselves. It tracks your baby’s heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep and temperature and shows that data in the Soq app.
Soq is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. For any health concern about your baby, talk to your doctor or the consultatiebureau. Soq supports your peace of mind. It does not replace medical care.
Does Soq prevent SIDS?
No. Soq is a wellness product, not a SIDS prevention device. No consumer product has been shown to prevent SIDS, and paediatric guidance advises against relying on a home monitor for that purpose.
For safe sleep, follow the advice of your consultatiebureau. On the back, on a firm flat mattress, nothing loose in the cot.
What does Soq measure?
Heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature and sleep, whenever your baby wears it. The Soq app shows the readings and turns them into trends, rhythms and next-day summaries, so you get a fuller picture over time.
How is my baby's data handled?
Your baby’s data belongs to your family. No ads, no resale. You can export it or delete it permanently at any time.
What is it made of?
A soft cotton-elastane blend, or possibly a special in-house-made fabric we are still testing in the lab. Either way, the Soq will be soft, breathable, and gentle on sensitive skin, with no loose parts and no sharp edges. The sensor pod is body-safe silicone. Materials are at the top of our list, and we take the time to get the quality right. Soq will meet the European consumer product safety requirements before it reaches you.
When does Soq launch?
Soq is still in development. We launch in the Netherlands first, other parts of the EU later. Join the list and you hear it first.
What ages is Soq for?
Babies from 0 to 36 months.
How long does the battery last?
Multiple nights per charge. Wireless charging.
How do I wash it?
The fabric part of the Soq comes off and goes in the washing machine. The sensor pod stays out of water.
What if I have twins?
Soq supports multiple children in one app. Each child gets their own Soq and their own profile and data.
Where do you ship?
The Netherlands first, other parts of the EU later.
